It's October already! Wait a minute--I really want July back, right now!
Oh well, since that's pretty much impossible, I need to get over it! But, I have been busy. I'm now up to 60 quilts invoiced this year. There was a flurry of finishing with the intention of taking August as holiday--didn't happen. Attended the Philly quilt show and even Wylie was a bit overwhelmed with the size. What on earth would we do at Paducah I have a quilt nearly pieced that he selected at the show.
I have several classes coming up at Kindred Quilts and need to finish those samples. Perhaps this coming year will bring me more in line with the art quilting. But we know who's in control of that!

My horse wrangling days are not over!
Last Friday I had the distinct pleasure of apprehending two runaway horses. They escaped from their pasture, ran through the woods and crossed 579 at rush hour. This is not the thing to do on 579! I went outside to find out what all the noise was about, cornered the horses and the younger walked right to me. Once I had his halter, the other was quickly caught. I stood there a good 15 or 20 minutes hoping my neighbor would come out to walk his new pup (which he finally did). With his two ropes, we tied the horses to the dogwood tree and I called the State Police. After the older horse broke the rope, I was able to get him back in hand and stood with both of them until the police arrived, tracked down the owners and escorted them back to their pasture.
Those of you who have only seen me at the shop (Kindred Quilts, Clinton, NJ) will probably be appalled by these pictures. The glasses are at least 20 years old. The pj pants have snowflakes on them and I am also wearing my nightgown and robed. It was a stunning sight!

Quilting Frenzy!
I am so determined to finish all these quilts by the end of the month! The Holey Moley Club is proceeding at a quick pace and I need to catch up! August is going to be sooo much fun because I am doing continuous playtime with all sorts and manner of fibers and techniques! Of course, at the end of July, there's Ratty Tatty Paper and Embellish, Stitch, Enrich! Yippee!

Vertigo
When I was younger, Vertigo was a fabulous movie and I loved it. Now that I am experiencing vertigo--not so much! It's interesting to be just peachy one minute, turn your head and wammo! The room is spinning or worse (the stomach is spinning!)
I have finished one customer quilt and am well on the way with another. Unfortunately, I will need to spend the entire weekend working to catch up. No complaints, though, at least, I can still quilt!

Today, I am attempting to finish several client quilts that are due. And, also I am desparate to work on the Holey Moley Club assignment. As juvenile as it may sound, each time I reach a quilting goal, I reward myself with a little art time. And, it's not because I don't like the quilting, I love it! I just want to work on something else now! I will get pics up soon on this latest customer quilt. Now for lunch and more work.
